Usage:

• Turn on the appliance. The unit's heat level and fan speed can be controlled independently using the top and bottom switches.
• The bottom switch controls the fan speed. When the switch is in the down position, the fan is off.
• Move the lower switch to the center position for low fan speed or to the upper position for high fan speed.
• The top switch controls the heat level. When the switch is in the down position, the heat is off. Move the top switch to the center position for low heat or to the top position for high heat.
• The Cool Shot button can be used to fix a hairstyle after blow-drying. Click and hold to activate the Cool Shot feature, and release to turn it off.
• After use, make sure both switches are in the left (O) position before unplugging the appliance.

Usage:

1. Divide the hair into small sections. Comb through each subsection before using the smoothing brush.
2. Select the desired temperature. (Fine hair = lower heat setting; medium to coarse = higher heat setting).
3. A quick top press of the button to instantly reach the highest temperature setting if desired. You can also hold the next button to lock the temperature.
4. Starting at the base of one section, lightly spray one pump of Perfect Defense 8-10 inches (20-25 cm) apart. Slowly brush the section from root to tip, letting the hair slide through the bristles.
5. Repeat until desired smoothness is achieved. Allow the heated bevel to reach the edge near the root for extra smoothness in hard-to-reach areas.
6. Optional: For extra bend at the ends, tilt the brush in the desired direction and let the ends of the hair pass through the beveled edge.
